Pre-Trip Plan

Well with our moms' requests in mind, our plans are beginning to take shape.

We will leave as soon as we can get on the road on Thursday, May 13th. Our departure time is dependent upon when Nancy, Bill's mom, gets to Jacksonville. If we get on the road early, we will probably eat dinner in Orlando. If not, we will grab a bite to eat before leaving Jacksonville. We were able to get the AP rate on two rooms at Port Orleans, French Quarter. Bill and I will be sharing a king room and our moms will be in an adjoining standard room.

Yep with four of us on this trip, we definitely needed two rooms so that we had two bathrooms... :)

Friday morning, we have a PS for breakfast at Chef Mickey’s then we will head over to the Magic Kingdom and cross off some of the "things to do" from my mom's list. She wants to go on the Walt Disney World Railroad, the Jungle Cruise, the Swiss Family Robinson House, the Hall of Presidents, the Liberty Square Riverboat, it’s a small world, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the Carousel of Progress, the Timekeeper, and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Luckily, our breakfast PS is early in the morning so we can hit the park just after opening and get the Fantasyland rides out of the way early. Knowing my mom, we will also be going on Pirates of the Caribbean.

After our afternoon break, we will head over to Disney Studios. My mom wants to do the Disney Animation tour, Voyage of Little Mermaid, Muppet*Vision 3D, and walk through the New York Street set. We will also try and squeeze in some of our favorites like the Great Movie Ride and Beauty and Beast stage show. We also want to see the Stars and Motorcars Parade. We will be having dinner at Hollywood and Vine and will close the evening with Fantasmic.

On Saturday, we are going to have breakfast at Boma then catch the bus over to Animal Kingdom. If it is still early enough, we will go on the Safari and maybe the Pangani Trail. Then we will head back up to the front of the park so that my mom can see the Festival of the Lion King, It’s Tough to be a Bug, and Tarzan Rocks.

Short list here, maybe an early break so that we can spend more time in Epcot in the afternoon and evening enjoying the Flower and Garden Show.

The afternoon plans call for a trip to Epcot. Besides the Flower and Garden Show, my mom wants to go on Spaceship Earth, visit Ice Station Cool as well as the United Kingdom and France pavilions.

We will probably be going around the world to the right...  :)

We have a dinner PS at the Garden Grill so we will probably go on Living with the Land before dinner. Then we will close the evening with Illuminations.

Sunday morning after check out, we will drive over to Magic Kingdom and hang out some before having lunch at Crystal Palace. After lunch, we will be heading home.

Sunday morning is still kind of up in the air. My mom mentioned wanting to eat at the Rainforest Cafe, so we may end up going to Downtown Disney instead of the Magic Kingdom.
